AIM-5A Molecular Sieve is an alkali alumina silicate type (the Ca form for A crystal structure). It has an operative pore opening with 5 angstroms diameter (0.5 nm) which will adsorb molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 5 Angstrom form larger molecules. Its specific application is for PSA adsorption system where it may be used for the separation of normal-paraffins and iso-paraffins (C4 to C6 species), in PSA hydrogen purification or oxygen concentrators. SF6 refrigerant purifying is another its application.
